Rafah, 12/09/2005. The day after the final withdrawal of Israeli troops, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, dozens of people cross the border, now under Palestinian-Egyptian control. Some reach the Egyptian part while others enter the Gaza Strip, making their way through gaps in the barbed wire or concrete wall bordering the Philadelphia corridor, to visit their families living on the other side of the border. To be able to cross this border is one of the main targets of Palestinians. However, the frontier has now been closed.
